Rental Agreements and Understanding

ALL DRIVERS MUST BE PRESENT AT CONTRACT SIGNING

The renter(s) agree(s) there is no refund for unused time. The renter(s) further agree to indemnify and hold Barefoot Rentals Ltd. harmless from any and all losses, liability or expense of any kind and nature incurred by or asserted against Barefoot Rentals Ltd. arising in any manner from the rented equipment. The renter(s) acknowledge sole responsibility for any loss or damage to said equipment. Further the renter(s) disclaims any representation or warranty, whether expressed or implied, as to any matter whatsoever, including without limitation, the design, performance, purpose, the quality of the material or workmanship of the equipment. The renter(s) further agree to the following rules:

General Rental Rules:

1. Abide by all the rules of the road and be courteous and respectful.

2. Not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

3. No driving on airport runway, private property or restricted areas as per attached Placencia map. Driving on any “beaches” is forbidden.

4. A surcharge will be levied for any “emergency” calls as a result of carelessness.

5. In case of any accident the rental must be turned off and left at the scene of the accident untouched. A report with the local police must be filed immediately. Barefoot rental office must be notified immediately upon any accident and or malfunction of the rented cart.

6. All intended drivers must present valid license at time of rental and must carry said license while operating the vehicle as well as a copy of the rental contract. Age 21 is the minimum age for renting Golf carts. Age 23 is the minimum for renting cars.

7. Insurance waivers require an open credit card imprint or a $500.00 US damage deposit for golf carts and US 850 for rental cars.

8. Any breech/violation of the agreed to contractual rules constitutes an immediate return of the vehicle to Barefoot Rentals and an immediate loss of privilege. Damages or extraneous costs to Barefoot Rentals will be assessed at that time and appropriate action taken to recover said losses by Barefoot Rentals Ltd. T

9. There will be a $15 US fee applied for failure to return the key upon rental return.

10. Renter agrees there are NO REFUNDS for unused time.

11. Only major credit cards accepted. The exchange rate is $1.00 US for $2.00 BZ.

12. A US $50.00 gas deposit is required. Gasoline is not included. All tanks are rented full and must be returned full or a surcharge will apply

Golf carts Rental Rules:

1. Overloading of golf carts is strictly forbidden.

2. There will be a $30 US lost lock fee for failure to return lock upon rental return.

3. Extra hours for the 4 seater will be charged at $15 US per and extra hours for the 6 seater will be charged at $30.00 US per.

4. 24 hr rentals include a $1.00 BZ and $2.00 US per day processing fee.

5. Damage waivers are assessed per day regardless if rental is a full or half day rental.

6. A half day rental is 8 hrs. Additional hours are any hours thereafter and both apply between the hours of 7 AM and 7 PM.

7. Any hours after 7 PM apply to 24 hr rentals.

8. Lock the steering and take the keys at all times.

Cancellation Policy

A valid visa, master card, or amex credit card is required to confirm a reservation. A one day deposit is taken at the time of confirmation. A full refund minus 15% (administrative fees) is granted once written cancellation is received 2 days or more prior to reservation date. No refund is granted if reservation is cancelled less than two days prior to reservation date.
